This weekend Joe and I went to visit the newly born puppies. I must say, I was beyond excited and felt like a 4 year old the night before Christmas. They were absolutely ADORABLE! They were so tiny! Their eyes are not open and they are not able to hear yet and movements were minimal. They basically just liked to snuggle and make little whimpering noises. If I could, I'd have taken one home then!
It may not be as exciting as a Real Housewives life but it's my life, and I love it.

Weekend of firsts!
This weekend was filled with a few firsts...
Friday night, Joe and I went to his sister and brother-in-laws house for dinner. This was the very first time I had met them. I will admit, I was beyond nervous. I generally do not get nervous about meeting new people but in this case, I was terrified! Needless to say, the panic was for no reason. His sister and her family were amazing! The jitters were gone within a few minutes of talking with them :) Phheewww! Glad the first meeting with one member of his family is over with... now I just need to get through the remaining. Ha! Here is a picture that his adorable niece, Iris, drew for me. (it's suppose to be me with a pony tail, haha)
Saturday, we went to the movie 21 Jump Street. Hilarious! Joe and I were both cracking up during the whole movie. Definitely worth seeing!! After that we headed to St. Paul for the Final Five WCHA hockey championship. We went early to avoid the insane St. Patrick's Day crowd that St. Paul draws and to find decent parking. We ended up meeting up with a few friends for some beers before the game and tried to avoid the crowd as much as possible. I realized yesterday that I am way too old to participate in such craziness any more.
Saturday was also the day we found out that the litter of puppies we'll be getting a puppy out of were born! Saying we are excited is a complete understatement. Here's a picture of some of the puppies that the breeder sent us. A little under 8 weeks to go and one of these little puppies will be ours!!! :)
Today has been beautiful outside so we could the opportunity to check out some of the different parks/trails around Joe's house. Once we get the puppy I'm sure we will be taking daily adventures on that trail system so spending three hours out walking around today was helping us get prepared! :)
Stay tuned for further puppy news... we are going to see them in person this coming weekend :)

Tuesday Date Night
Since Joe and I started dating we started noticing a theme of always making Wednesday's one of our days we spent together. At that point we pretty much adopted a Wednesday Date Night each week and have stuck to it ever since. This week, we switched things up a bit and went out Tuesday for the Wild vs Stars game. Wild and crazy, I know! Ha! I must say, although it was only a one day difference, it was odd being out of our normal routine. Haha. I think this means I'm getting old when I notice things like that.
Either way, the Wild game was a blast. I also realized I didn't get to as many games as I was hoping to at the beginning of the season. Maybe next year...

Once again...
Well, I was off to a good start but once again have failed at blogging.
The last month has been crazy busy at work and I seem to have fallen behind. Nor can I even remember what I've been up to! Embarrassing.
Yesterday Joe and I hit up the Como Zoo & Conservatory. I have not been there for at least 10 years and Joe hadn't been there since grade school. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon considering we had gorgeous weather! 65 degrees in March, I'll take it!!
This week is all about hockey -- tomorrow night it's the Wild game and Saturday it's the Final Five Championship. And... meeting some of Joe's family. Wish me luck ;)
