Sunday Funday!

Sunday Funday doesn't exactly mean what it used to.  A few years ago a Sunday Funday would mean getting a little wild and crazy... Now a days it means just doing anything fun on a Sunday.  Ha!

Joe and I decided it might be fun to check out a few Open Houses, just for something to do.  We went to a handful of homes and it's safe to say, I fell in love with one.  It may have been the most perfect house I've ever stepped foot in.  It was not the most fabulous house but it had the perfect layout and in some way appeared to have been built specifically for me :) haha!  Maybe it will go back on the market years from now when the idea is actually a reality rather than a random Sunday afternoon idea.

I also managed to make my first roast...successfully.  Joe and I are both still alive so I must have done an okay job!  Maybe there's a little hope for this whole cooking thing after all :)

MOA Fun

Anyone that knows me well, knows I love the Mall of America.  Call me crazy, but it is my favorite "go-to" mall and preferred shopping destination.  Saturday night Joe, myself, Jen and Nick headed to the MOA for some mini-golf and to do dinner at Dick's Last Resort. 

I some how managed to come in last place at mini-golf, I can definitely say this did not make me a happy camper.  I did survive the defeat though. 

I was a bit disappointed by our server at Dick's.  This is the second time Joe and I have been there and we always seem to get the "nice" servers.  Not exactly what a person wants when they go to experience a real Dick's Last Resort experience!  Maybe next time we'll get the A-Hole of the crew.

Week 6

I can't believe the puppies are already six weeks old!  We had a puppy visit today and WOW what a change a week has made.  They were maniacs!  They were all moving so quick, playing tug of war, carrying things in their mouths and being a lot more vocal...not to mention biting my toes a lot more.  I must say that the chaos made me even more excited.  I must have a few screws loose.  Haha. 

I unfortunately did not take any pictures this visit.  We have our last visit this week and then next Friday... he comes home with us!!! 

Week Five!

Maybe Fairytales Really Do Exist?!

It is safe to say, I may have found the love of my life... or maybe I shouldn't say "may have" because I know I have.  Patience is not a strong trait of mine and quite frankly, I was beginning to get discouraged at the thought of never finding "the one" but... six months ago today I was lucky enough to go out on a date with what has now become the greatest guy I've ever known.

There is not a day that goes by that I am not thankful for how lucky I am to have him in my life.  Although no one is actually perfect, I do know that he is about as perfect...for me... as they come.

Too much cuteness!

Joe and I had our puppy visit yesterday and I was quite amazed at how much the puppies had changed in the two weeks since we last visited!  They came barrelling out of the kennel and making more noise than a crowd at the World Series!  So funny to watch them play and interact with each other.  Their personalities are finally starting to show and it was fun to see the difference in each.  I will say there was one in particular that my heart melted for but... realistically I adored them all and am so excited to get one picked out!

Definitely not 20 years old anymore...

I must say that I often joke about being "old" now that I'm 30.   I keep having days where I find myself not being able to bounce back as quickly as I would have 10 years ago.  Example...drinking... a few beers and I feel like I have a hangover for 5 days.  Saturday was no exception.  It was a buddy of Joe's 30th birthday party and it was then that my "old" age really caught up with me.  I'm happy to say that over a week later and I think I'm back to feeling normal.  Ha!

Furballs!

Joe and I headed out to visit the puppies on Saturday again.  Although only a week has went by they had shockingly grew a great deal and also have started to develop little personalities.  Their eyes and ears are now open and they are scooting around and being more vocal.  It was hilarious to sit and watch them all climb all over each other while trying to get all comfy and cozy.  We have finally picked a name for our little guy!  We decided that, Gordie, will fit whichever male we end up taking home out of the litter :)

Miami

Last Wednesday, I flew out to Miami for a work convention.  I was definitely looking forward to some sunny weather and was hoping to enjoy a little more of it than I actually did.  Although my days were pretty backed with meetings and presentations, I was able to take in a little that Miami has to offer in the three days I was there.  I have definitely decided the next time I visit Miami it will NOT be for work and I WILL be spending ALL my time outdoors...not indoors in the air conditioning.  I unfortunately didn't even take all that many pictures which is rare!
