Meet Jakob - Foster #2

Meet Jakob, our newest foster.

He's a 1.5 year old Lab/Pointer/Husky mix and such a well mannered boy. How a person could give up a dog like this, I'll never understand. He is completely trained, listens, and is GREAT with Gordie and any dog we've encountered so far. He wants nothing more than for you to rub his belly or just to be pet.

I'm amazed at the difference he has made on Gordie. Our maniac of a dog has learned to focus his attention on his new playmate and not on causing trouble. Although the new problem is Gordie ALWAYS wants to play and poor Jakob likes to be lazy after playing for a bit. Haha. Gordie is learning what 'time outs' are. Yes, I feel like we have a child in the house now... haha. "Bedtime" has also become earlier for Gordie as he's exhausted a lot quicker. No complaints on that! :) Joe and I finally know what it's like to sit down to relax without Gordie being a little turd.

Thankfully we have been very lucky on both fosters to date and have ended up with two great dogs. This one however has captured our heart in a different way. So much so that Joe even made the comment that we'd be keeping him...if Gordie was a little older. Ha!

We've received an application on him already and are in the process of setting up his 'Meet & Greet', fingers crossed the applicants love him as much as we've grown to!
